Jainism is a religion that is primarly followed up by Indians.It began in the 6th centry B.C and it was a huge influence in India, but now there is less than 3 million Jains. Jainism is a religion that emphasizes non-violence and the ascetic life. It was developed at the same time while Buddhism was being developed. Jinas are believed to reside in the top level of heaven, above the realm of the gods. According to them, liberated souls are revered more than the gods. Jainism incorporates the traditional Hindu concepts of karma and reincarnation, but rejects the Veda scriptures, castes and the idea of a creator god. Most Jains reside in India, where they make up 0.5% of the population. About 25,000 Jains live in the UK and 25,000 reside in the USA.





This is the symbol for Jainism. This one peice of symbol contains a lot of meaning to it because every peice of drawing on this symbol has an important meaning to it. It shows a combindness of two different symbols. Indians were very spiritural
