This post is primarily to practice posting pictures to the page. The Veterans Day weekend, Mike and I rode from Little Rock to Montgomery, AL, to Memphis,, TN, and the to our respective homes from there. It was just a great time for a ride, and we needed to make sure that 500+ mile days were within Mikes capability ;-). We also made a "small" excursion to get the Florida state sign picture. I really though the state line was just across the bay!

Riding the ALCAN, 2014

I have wanted to ride the ALCAN highway for a long time. I turn 50 in 2012, so decided that would be my excuse for finally making the ride. With my wife's blessing and financial backing, I began to plan when and with who. I extended the offer to accompany me to a few close friends and co-workers. One committed, and then sold his bike (Sorry Mel, but you'll be missing a hell of a good time). Another, Mike S, jumped at the chance, and we will be doing a 6300+ mile, 21 days (or so) ride from St Louis, MO area to Alaska and back.... full info
