Occupy wall street


Who: Adbusters, a Canadian anti-consumerist organization initiated the protest
Later, men and women of all races, backgrounds, political and religious beliefs who represent the 99% joined the movement

What:People are protesting and creating posters to help send their message. Their movement is focusing on social and economic inequality.

Where: The movement began in New York City's Zuccotti park in the financial district
It is now a worldwide movement

When: The movement began on September 17,2011
It still continues until this day

Why: The protesters are against financial greed and corruption and high unemployment.

I understand that the people are protesting for a good reason. However, I feel that this movement is causing too many problems. For instance, at least 175 people were arrested in New York for blocking streets near the New York stock exchange. Also, police in Los Angeles arrested 23 protesters on Thursday.
