Aloha!
Another one of my weekend reports. During the week it doesn’t really make sense to write something, because there is nothing going on. I am at school… Unless, of course, you guys want to know the newest events on the stock market or you want to know some crazy stuff about the law in the US. I am in a business law class right now, which is really interesting. Seriously, you can sue everybody for everything here. (a woman sued because a dancer told her that she has the potential to become a good dancer. She sued after she realized that she, after taking several classes, was only an average dancer. Well, she won. The dancer should have known better- hello, he only said that there is a potential…)
Ok, back to my weekend. It started Friday night. Jenny needed some support so I went out with her, her boyfriend and another couple. We went to a very local event. Everybody who has ever been here understands what that means. It is hard to explain, you need to experience it. However, it was fun. First of all I got two huge black crosses on my hands, because I am under 21. It actually surprised me that I could get in at all. I also got an explanation that I have to pay a $ 50 fee if they catch me drinking alcohol. As you guys know, that’s no problem for me. Interesting, that the guy who told me about the fees offered me a drink later on…
In general, it was very easy going. Two bands played and they were actually not as bad as I expected. I was home shortly after two. (For all the Germans- most of the clubs close at two here)
I woke up when my roommate walked into my room drunken. I kicked him out again. But he only wanted to see if I am home. Of course...
I got up early next morning to go to school and study. Starbucks helped me to survive. Honestly, I spent the whole day at school. But had a long (very long) lunch with my Austrian friend Harry (former runner at HPU. You will hear about him when he produces movies in Hollywood soon) and Ingo (you will here about him, when you want to know something about Pearl Harbor, he is a history freak and produces documentations and books about this stuff)
After I went running I crashed around 8. But, I got up again at one again when my roommates and his friends, who stay over at our place, came home.
My Sunday was way more interesting. In the morning I went hiking with my coach. You can see the pictures. Unfortunately, there are no pics from the way to the waterfall. We had some beautiful views. Casper, don’t you miss Hawai’i when you see this? In the afternoon I went to Jenny. She lives really nice- very close to Diamond Head. The plan was to study, but plans are there to be changed. We started to hang out in her garden to get some sun. It ended up in girl talk. (I can’t mention this here, too private). Afterwards Jenny made me Gries. Ok, now you guys probably wonder why I mention that. It is such a cheap simple meal. But it does not exist here!!! You cannot buy it in Hawaii. But thanks to Jennys mum we could enjoy such a great lunch. Jenny thought that it is funny how easy it is to make me happy. When her Hawaiian boyfriend came home, he convinced us to go to the beach. But not one of the crowded tourist beaches. No, of course, a more local beach. Hoko (that’s his name) went surfing. Actually, everybody went surfing there except Jenny and me. The waves were pretty high. Which makes it even more fun to go into the water. Honestly, the best thing is to watch the surfers. Some of them are really good. They are standing on the board and go with the wave as if they are standing on the street. They don’t even struggle. Others don’t get on the board at all (hmm, whom am I talking about Jenny?)
And to all my girls- surfers are hot! Try to imagine: The sun is going down and you are lying in the water, when a muscular, really good looking guy is standing on his board and comes towards you. Then he goes down, lies on his board, looks at you and says: ‘You have beautiful eyes.’ Your brain stops for a second and all you do is you start laughing. ‘They are sparkling’ Then he goes out of the water- the water is running down his muscles and while he is walking along the beach with his surfboard under his arm, he turns around and waves to you.
Yep, that happened to me. I also knew two of the surfers. They were Germans. When the second German came out of the water, Jenny and I were in the water. I hardly recognized him and because I wasn’t sure I yelled at him: Deutscher? He, totally surprised, turns around right in the second when a wave is coming. Boom, he fells of his board. Oops, Jenny and I were laughing about the poor guy. But hey, he is German. And on his board he actually looks better than when I see him at school. ( Quote: ‘he makes himself ugly in school’). When the sun was totally down we went home and I was very happy to go to bed. That was my weekend.
