Jim and CarolJim and CarolJim and Carol

Meet Jim and Carol in Super K-Mart parking lot in Winter Garden, FL. First time they have seen the RV.
We departed Kissimmee, FL on Apr 6 enroute to Arabil, GA. We traveled I-4 from Kissimmee and what a mistake. Wall to wall traffic. Lost over an hour of travel time. We stopped in Winter Garden to meet Jim and Carol to pick up my camera which I had left in their car. After meeing them, we traveled to Ocala, FL and then north on I-75. Another big problem - an accident cost us another hour of travel time. When we crossed the Georgia border we entered the land of orange barrels. This again cost us another 1 to 1 1/2 hour. What should have been a 5 hour drive ended up being 8 hours. Ugh.

We pulled in Southern Gates RV Park, Arabi, GA at exit 92. The RV park is a small quaint park with trees and is very quiet. The young couple had just bought it 2 months ago and are feeling their way along. The park gives Passport America discounts. You park on Georgia grass with full hookups. We had a pull through site. We intend to visit a number of historical sites near here: (Andersonville POW Historical Site, Jimmy Carter Home and others).

Highly recommend this campground.

These beautiful bushes were in front of the RV. Others were scattered around the campground.
