Until We Meet Again
Today has arrived! It's a day of celebration and farewells. Today we celebrate two birthdays: our grandson, Ryan Knapp and our dear friend, Sandy Foreman. Happy Birthday to Yoooooo....that's Cory and me singing to both of them at the top of our lungs. Lulu is humming the Happy tune. The Knapp family flew home today. We had to say our farewells yesterday as they headed to the Sandford airport at 5:20 AM today. Their flight left at 8:00 & they landed in Elmira, NY just over two hours later....it still seems so amazing to me to wake up in Florida and be home in New York in such a short time. Thank you, Orville and Wilbur! Yesterday, we had our good bye lunch at Flippers Pizza in Old Town with Lory, Jay, Sara, Sam & Sandy. We had our last supper with Sam & Sandy at Denny's. This will be the conclusion of dining out on a regular, frequent, almost daily basis. I'll have to get back into my Julia Child's outfit. Plus, Cory and I will only be dining from a straw for 3 months! I don't think you get a Ruffle potato chip up through a straw, can you?

Twiddle-Dee & Twiddle-Dum are on a diet from now on. It's good we aren't flying home....they would charge us for our extra baggage. Before our final farewells, the Knapps, Sam & Sandy and Walt & Diane gathered together at the RV for one last hurrah. Hurrah!.....last one! "There Are Good Ships & Wood Ships But The Best Ships Are Friendships!" Until we meet again......as Dr. Seuss said: Don't cry because it's over....Smile because it happened! And smile we did.....oh, the many laughs and good times we had. So many great memories for the old memory book. Raisinettes, anyone? Wanting to insure all was in working order with the RV, we closed it up yesterday while Jay was still here....just in case. Hallelujah! The levelers went up and the slides came in with no issues. Smooth sailing ahead. So, this morning, we did the final RV check and car hook-up and pulled away from our winter locale at 8:45 AM. Good-bye Tropical Palms....see you in January, 2015. Its been a good ride! Lulu had mist in her eyes as she watched it fade away behind us. Of course, there's always some banging and crashing sounds as Cory carefully drives out onto

Happy Easter & Happy Birthday: Sandy & Ryan
Rt. 192. Of course, I'm screaming " What's that?" Of course, his response is: "I don't know." "Do you want to pullover?"...I plead. "No" he answers. A cursory glance around the inside of the RV and at the side mirrors....nothing obvious so onward we march. If something is dangling or dragging we can't see it. Eventually, the sound of the engine drowns out any unusual noises....except for me. Cory can hear me so much better with his hearing aides.....Luckeee him. So now the journey home begins. We'll probably stay somewhere in Georgia tonight I would guess. It will take us three nights/four days to get home.....I am occasionally reminding Cory that we can't go over 65 mph when towing a car. So we take it nice & easy and enjoy the scenery of the seasonal changes through the various states we traverse. Since we are leaving later than normal this year (Easter was very late)....hopefully Shongo will have some greenery on the usual "brown sticks" that welcome us home. It will be good to get back....that's why being away from home is so nice! Two pluses! We enjoy the coming and going of it all. We love our "box" house

and our "big" house both. Another sad farewell looms ahead: our time together on this blog will be winding down soon. Oh, sorry days......but wait, hold on....you can plan for a few more days of this coffee klatch because it keeps me busy and less distracting to Cory. I may tell the Raisinettes epic so you can get ready and prepare for that..... Meet the Raisins....I Heard It Through The Grapevine! We hope everyone is doing well wherever your home base may be. Stay tuned.....
