I set the alarm last night but didn’t need it. I slept like a log for the first time in and woke up at 6 am feeling really refreshed and ready for the day. I had a shower and a leisurely coffee while reading my book of awakening. Breakfast was scheduled for 8:30 so after walking the dog I headed for the club house. There was a continental breakfast and lot of talking. We all have name tags and if you forge I set the alarm last night but didn’t need it. I slept like a log for the first time in months t to wear it you are given a hug and charged a quarter. So I paid my money from the day before and got another hug, so it was worth forgetting. I said my goodbyes and thanked the people in charge for a wonderful and very eventful campout. Kat and I planned to leave at 10am so I walked Oscar again and started cleaning up the camper and disconnecting cable, water and electric. Everything was stowed and ready and as I looked around the campground it was pretty empty. Our LoWs group had 23 campers
so when we left we left an empty field. Kat and I were on the road heading south for Wauchula and had several stops planned. Kat had a set of walkie- talkies so we could communicate along the way. Wow, they really came in handy. Our first stop was Fresh Market a high end super market with great produce and meat. Then it was on to Walmart to buy the things we couldn’t afford at FM. The Walmart was an absolute zoo with people everywhere, you had to fight for a cart. I lasted about 10 min. and finally had had enough. We headed back to the rigs, took the dogs for a walk and went into Kat’s camper to have lunch. We got gas and headed out again. Our next stop was Petco to get Oscar food and a new harness. He was personally fitted and strutted out the door with his new adornment. We arrived at Peace River camp ground about 4:30 and had to find a campsite. Mine was on a slant so I needed to block up the back wheels which took some doing. Kat’s and my friend Ginny met us at the office on her
George
George has dwarfism and is not long for this world. His insides are different and he has many problems. bike and she escorted me to a site near her’s. She helped me set up then went to help Kat. Ginny had dinner waiting for us so we had cocktail hour at her camper and a great dinner. Boy, was that ever a treat. Ginny has 2 Dobermans that are just wonderful guys. They are therapy dogs so they are calm and predictable despite most peoples fear of the breed. Lioness is a big black and red doby with short tail and ears and George is a brown doby with dwarfism. They are quite a pair, I’ll get a picture soon.
