First, we want to wish all of you a Happy New Year and hope that your holidays were pleasant and all that you wished for. As many of you know before we left Trumansburg we had thought that we would be in the Bahamas for Christmas, but that definitely is not the case. We mentioned in the last blog entry that we were stopping in Stuart, Fl to get our mainsail fixed. We have found it to be a very ... Read Full Entry

We wandered through a large flea market in Stuart and saw some sights –this was probably the most unusual

Does this look familiar? No, it isn’t a photo from earlier this year –just shows you that Bob is still working in the lazarette – this time installing the watermaker. As he keeps telling me he doesn’t need yoga as he has his lazarette to bend up into a pretzel in!

The new “pantry” that Bob installed as we needed more room to store the day to day provisions. This will make it much easier. It also gave Bob a chance to make some sawdust which he always loved to do!

Sailor enjoyed sitting on the clean clothes that we hadn’t gotten a chance to get out of the bag –she really enjoys climbing into any new spaces she finds

You two look great
I'm hooked on your blog--preempts all previous plans. I love all the pics. Thought of you when in Sicily for Xmas--check out Ortegia--the old city of Siracusa on the south east portion of the island. While Laurie and I were looking at some small beautifully painted wooden fishing boats, I wondered if you'd pull in some day. Thanks for taking us along Thanks so much for sharing the trip.

can do spirit
Janice and Bob, It was so great to read your blog and get caught up with you since your visit here. All sounds wonderful, you both look well and here is hoping the swells are at minimum when you depart for the Bahamas. Sail safely friends and keep up the great writing. (Somehow I just know it is Janice doing the version we all get to read.) :)

glad to hear from you
Janice and Bob,...I was getting nervous that there would be no sunset,...but you squeaked it in at the end. Thank you. We were able to leave NY a week ago, missed the storms in NY, waited out the ice storms in NC and SC at Ashland, VA...arrived in Myrtle Beach day before yesterday. It is still cool,...but not as cool as T-burg and glad to hear that you are finally in shorts and T's. Incredible how many great people you have met and the number of individuals that have been added to your emailing list. You are two very fortunate and deserving people. Bob...you need to smile more when having your pic taken...I know you are a jolly fellow, so show it...LOL Take care, and let me know when you head out into the Atlantic,...until then, enjoy life, each other, and and all that is around you. love ya, cyndie
