Artists seem to follow horses around. Great subject!
March 27. Landed in Tampa and headed for Ocala. The wild flowers are in bloom and the trees are in leaf. The Schooner did well in storage at New Episode (thoroughred training center)- not even a fly. The horses in the nearby pastures are beautiful. We got groceries and settled in. Had a nice dinner at Horse & Hound with our niece and nephew (Kate .and Mike) who were both there for the Ocala Breeders 2 Year Old Sales. Wes watched BQ1 work out on Thursday morning; he's impressed with her progress. Battle Ready isn't training this week due to a small cut. We joined Kate and Mike at the sales for lunch. We learned a lot about 2 year olds just hanging out with Kate and Mike following them around. The Ocala auction facilities are right up there. Very colorful surroundings. We stopped for yummy oranges at a farmer's market at a truck stop near Gainsville, and overnighted behind a Cracker Barrell near Salt Lake, Fl (I-75). It's like "camping" on Wolf Road! In the morning we headed for I-10 to the Panhandle. Great road! We passed into Central Time Zone and our phones "adjusted" automatically. This is a

very rural, desolate part of Florida; no cities until Tallahassee. Dogwood is out and looks like drifts of snow here and there in the woods. We are also spotting trees literally dripping with wild wisteria. Our camp site; right on the bay at Navarre Beach, is spectacular. White sands, blue water, blue sky, and we are almost camped on the beach. Stay tuned.

This was so cool. We "dry camped" here on two occasions; and The Schooner was stored here for a month.

Here's our campsite in the Panhandle. We are a stone's throw from the beach. The Schooner is the motor home in the middle here.
