Buddy & Sweetie are dead! Heat inside the RV killed them! The 92 degrees was the inside temp; the 100 degrees was outside!
It's a somber day! All good things must come to pass. That's what happened yesterday. It was a gorgeous, hot day here in sunny Florida. Cory & I decided it was a perfect pool day. We don't go too often to the pool since I have had to have a few little skin cancer spots lobbed off by my dermatologist. A reminder tanning friends & family.....it will catch up with you as it has with me. But, the temptation and heat were too much so for hours, we floated serenely around the pool on our colorful noodles. Ahhhhh.....the good life continues. Skipping merrily back to our RV after this delightful, water filled afternoon - a tragic shock paralyzed us as we entered the RV. The scene was horrific! I can't get the image out of my mind! My eyes are scarred forever. On our table, just where we had left them, was Buddy & Sweetie: the chocolate Easter bunnies that Mike & Mj had given us. OMG.....what has happened to them? Who could have done this vile deed? Why, oh, why? There, still secure in their original boxes, were Buddy & Sweetie but in a severely, grossly transformed condition. They were

unrecognizable. They both had been turned into a twisted, deformed, unspeakable mound of soft, gooey, melted chocolate.....oooohh, I can hardly describe the horror. I'm speechless...gasping! How? Why? What? The cause of this horrendous, dastardly deed was soon felt & obvious. We had left the RV closed up and the air conditioning turned off. We were unaware as to what devastation was occurring in the RV while we frolicked in the sunshine. Just like a closed, locked car: the temperature inside rises quickly. And it gets very, very hot inside. Hot enough to kill you I suppose if left long enough in this oversized oven. That's what happened to Buddy & Sweetie: killed by our carelessness. How will we ever live with this? The burden weighs heavy. They were so cute & young...only wanting to bring joy & happiness. When Cory screamed "Look at Buddy & Sweetie"....I gasped and tried to hold myself steady as I focused on this vile tragedy. Nothing could be done to restore them......they were goners: melted into big blobs and gobs. Their adorable images destroyed forever. We rushed to turn on the air conditioning and waited. Our sobs & squeals could be heard throughout the park.

Eventually, as the temperature inside he RV cooled, so did the remains of Buddy & Sweetie. I was able to twist and pull and finally extract them from their cardboard tombs. I almost gagged during this process but the sweet aroma of chocolate keep me diligently going and strong. Telling myself that eventually Buddy & Sweetie were going to the chopping block anyway, I stuffed their distorted, ugly remains into a big baggy and placed it in our refrigerator to finish the cooling process. RIP Buddie & Sweetie.....you will still bring joy and pleasure to those who will consume your little, wilted bodies (like me!). We are sorry we brought you to such a traumatic and fiery furnace end. Remember, everyone......Easter is coming!

Changes are happening in our park. Each day, more & more people pull up their stakes and head home. The neighborhood seems so empty. Where once a maze of motor homes filled the landscape, only a few are left to dot the horizon. The pool, which once overflowed with zealous revelers, now begs for just one more splash. Fortunately, for us, our family begins to arrive here in Kissimmee tomorrow. Lory & Jay & Sara will

be here on Tuesday. The Faber family with 2 guests will arrive on Wednesday. Let the fun begin! We have waited all winter for this day to arrive. We have missed them! Our sons will hold down their forts at home this year....maybe next year the whole gang can reunite. We shall enjoy everyone for almost two weeks. Yippee! Then they will leave and so will we. It's been a good ride this season.....hope you have enjoyed it with us.
