Days 38 & 39: Wichita Falls, TX to Defuniak Springs, FL

Left Wichita Falls at 7:30 and made good time to and through the middle of Dallas. What a confusing mass of interstates! 532 miles later, we stopped in Clinton, MS for the night. Poor Milo was bored to tears. On Sat, we got out of camp about 7:30 headed for home. It had started raining during the night and rained off and on as far as Mendenhall, then it became steady rain, sometimes really heavy. Just found out that Mobile had 13" of rain yesterday. Traffic was REALLY heavy on I-10 - - both ways. Westbound traffic going into the Mobile tunnel was backed up for at least 8 miles, and just barely moving. Got home to DFS in the middle of a break in the rain, but before we could get the trailer into the pole barn, the bottom fell out and we got an inch and a half of rain in less than 30 minutes. GLAD TO BE HOME ! ! ! !
