The drive from Custer, SD to Denver was through miles and miles of flat pasture land but once we passed through downtown Denver our adventure began. Barb took the wheel to give Steve a break not knowing what lay ahead. She survived 70 miles of 8 -10% grades up and down the mountains with rain. She conquered the 24,000 lb beast of a motorhome. We were so tired and stressed, that we pulled off at Frisco for a great Itilian dinner and some well deserved rest in the hills overlooking the town. We awoke to a spectacular view. On the 9th we visited Colorado National Monument Park and took the motorcycle for a breath-taking ride around hair-pin turns and steep hills, almost running over two big horn sheep. The monument as well as the rest of the park was awesome but not meant for the faint of heart regarding heights. We ended the two day trip arriving at Moab, UT.
