5th Aug. Continued our journey across Colorado using Highway 50 and crossing the Rockies through Monarch Pass (el 11,300 feet). After the Rockies it was down onto the Plains and some very rolling country-side. Night stop Burlington, CO. and a quick ride on a 100 year old Carousel complete with musical organ. The operators gave us a glimpse of the workings and a low-down on the history of this sixth one built.
