Hello from LA

Disney was great! In LA - really enjoyed Andre Rieu concert at Nokia. (Saw Cindy Crawford). Then to San Francisco - lots of sightseeing on foot. Went on a US sub! Amazing. Went to Alcatraz and glad to leave! Now back in LA in beautiful Santa Monica - weather gorgeous - been to Hollywood, museums, bike ride along PCH and Venice Beach. Fantastic shopping in 3rd St Promenade - can't stop buying clothes. Rucksack now much heavier than when I started! Must stop. Saw "Tangled" in 3D (big kid I hear you say!). But really enjoyed it. Leaving this hostel on Sunday for Hawaii. Money running out soon here so must go in a minute. Next place has free internet (which will probably mean big queues!) so will be in touch after 19th. Hurrah - you've blogged!!
Hello slosh! Glad to hear you are having such a good time...though not so sure about all the clothes you are buying, madam! Everyone in Birders is asking about you, so I hope they have all received an alert to say that you are blogging, let me know if not and I'll pass this on. The snow is falling heavily here, and its beautiful....though better because I can't go out! I'm doing really well, and getting about the house, with a bag round my knee which carries my ice pack, flask of coffee and books from room to room!! The Christmas swap shop morning went very today, according to Al (I stayed home) and now Al, Issie and Kate are icing the christmas cakes ready to deliver to everyone next week. We are all missing you, especially Nuskie and Whisky! Lots of love...xxx
