...california, real cool to the homeless. In the city, city of brentwood (those who aren't south park watchers won't get the reference, but that's cool.

We've had a great couple of weeks exploring our own country for once. Took the long way to the ocean via southern oregon. Beautiful sweeping vistas and more trees than people. I liked it. Crescent City was a little lame
but the redwoods there more than made up for that. It's good to be dwarfed and to be in the presence of something that has been living since the parthenon was erected. i said erect. heh heheheh.

We stayed in our share of sleezy motels, one of which i'm convinced had a two way mirror for pervs. I put my forehead to the glass, didn't change clothes, and flipped them the bird. We happened to leave our beautiful
temperpedic pillows there too, which is a bummer.

Took a scenic drive down one through Big Sur. My one regret is not stopping at the Henry Miller museum. We had a delicious breakfast in big sur and i tried on a fairy dress. We saw about 100 or so seals on the beach on the way down. Very cool.

San Fran was fun and wonderful as usual. I had one of my best meals of all time there, while celebrating the engagement of Adam and Erica. WE had a host of old friends in the city and spent our time leisurely sipping tea
and being bohemian...caught a free earth day concert in golden gate park and did the whole hippy thing and caught a yonder mountain show at the Fillmore that gave birth to some of my favorite bands.

Then down to San Jose to visit the newest member of my family Zoe....born just last week to my cousin. SHe's a doll and i was happy we got to squeeze that in.

Then down to LA for more friend time where we bummed from couch to couch and actually participated in yet another engagement ---congrats Adam and Sam!

IT was a blast to see friends but now we're leaving for the airport and i don't wanna be late so i gotta run. Wish us luck on our "Mexican" excursion. More later.
