Week One

Well, a week has passed since we landed here in LA, today is the first non-sunny day I have seen since being here and I must say, it's not a bad thing.

Not much has happened this week that is all too exciting. We've taken, well Russ has, to driving on the other side of the road. He's become quite the competent driver. I'm yet to drive but that's Ok as I've managed to get a really bad cold. It's gotten to the point where I have to get something for it or I'm going to need antibiotics 😞 I thought things were getting better but I've woken up this morning and it's gotten worse. Yes Mum, I will get something for it today 😊

We've done a little bit of driving around the city in search of the perfect 'home' or RV (recreational vehicle/motorhome). We drove about 90 miles 2 days ago to look at one but it was a bit of a dissapointment. Needed work done to it which might be ok if they weren't asking the price they were. Russ and I drove to Yucaipa last night to look at an RV, after the one we had seen the day before I wasn't expecting anything great though. Long story short, it's a really, really nice RV. New paintjob 2 years ago, fake wooden floors, sleeps 6 (hint, hint guys), low mileage. The seller flew out to Montana this morning and won't be back until Monday so we have a few days to think about it and see if we can find anything better but it has set the bar.

Only seen one casino so far. Russ checked out the poker room and of course took a brochure. A bit annoying though that people can smoke in it but they do have rooms where they have pokies etc that you can play that is non smoking.

Well, that pretty much sums up our first week. Very unexciting to read unfortunately. Next weeks email should be a bit more exciting and have some photos.
