Driving from Nevada through the Tioga we have to drive through most of the park in order to see the primo sites of El Capitan and Half Dome and the waterfall. the drive is thrilling for Angie and she loves to drive fast and take the corners like Mario Andretti but Francine is holding on to the OH SHIT bar and using her non existent brake pedal on the passenger side.

We scour the countryside for bears but no luck only see a few deer her and there. But the fresh air and the cooler temps at this altitude makes it a very pleasant drive overall and we picnic in the park along side a stream and hope this is not the time we spot bears.

It's a 14 hour day as we drive to Fresno to spend the night.

Up early and back out to explore the next National Park - Sequoia. It doesn't take long before we get to see the 3rd largest tree in the world and that is the General Grant. Its huge and we can't get the pictures to show just how massive it is at 267 feet tall and over 3000 years old and 107 feet circumference at the base.

There many gaint trees here, everywhwere you lookyou see these gaints. It's amazing. We even get to drive through a fallen log and walk though one that was a camp site for workers back in the early 1900's. The drive is the same as yesterday and we throughly enjoy King's Canyon and Sequoia National parks.

Onward to Glendale California to stay and visit Southern California.
