Had to get up at 4am for this but it was definitely worth it, absolutely majestic, tranquil and beautiful, this is the America I wanted to see. The guide told us that it generally takes climbers two days to scale the wall of El Capitan or as the Native Americans call it To-to-kan oo lah which I think sounds much nicer. You could just imagine a Native American on his horse with his bow and arrow looking down at the valley beneath. Simply beautiful!! The only down side was that the waterfalls were a mere trickle as the rainfall has been so low in the area this year. Shame but thats life. Going back to San Francisco sure you will like the photo of Golden Gate bridge!!! In the fog!!! Hmmm a tad disappointing but am going back to San Francisco so will do better next time. San Francisco had quite a laid back feel to it although we did wonder into a dogy area so was glad to make a quick exit. Back in LA catching up on sleep at the moment hoping to get to Sf in the next day or two.

Pity about the waterfalls they were amazing but it was May when we went and the snow was still on the ground. Did you see any bears. Bryce Canon , Grand Canyon and Zion are really good if you get a chance to go to any of them
