Trail along the Pacific

Ok, people, we've gone a bit of a distance since leaving mid-day last week from Jackson.
So far we've stayed in Boise, Id; Portland, Or; Garberville, Ca; Oakland, CA; and are currently in San Simeon, Ca.
We're having a fabulous time, and have enjoyed visiting with various friends and family members.
Highlights include: Biking and hiking in Portland, eating great food in Portland, visiting the Tilamook creamery, hiking along the Oregon coastal range, driving through Redwoods, crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, buying pearls in Chinatown, watching sea otters munch on their lunch, and driving PCH 1 through Big Sur. Black Betty is still chugging along albeit very packed.
Today we leave San Simeon for L.A. where we will stay a day with a high school friend of mine, hop down to Long Beach for a night with some relatives and then onto Chandler, Arizona to crash with a cousin of Marks. We have concert tickets for Michael Buble on March 31st and hope to stop by the Grand Canyon and Mt. Zion Nat'l Park on the way up there. Oh, also, I turn 27 along the way- 27 on the 27th, its my lucky birthday. Maybe that means I'll get a job? Heres to hoping!

Hello from the east coast! Love the pictures and the narration too! Another adventure after another! I hope you are keeping a mileage log! Black Betty will be happy to see Missouri for sure. I do, its enjoyable to read, I live through your adventures! thanks for keeping us posted, I am so anxiously awaiting to see if NM is on the next stop after the grand canyon and arizona! bahaha I don't know why anyone would want to visit. or maybe visit to get some engagement pictures done! that is a swell idea! :)

I am mostly jealous of your visit to San Fran....one of my favorite places to visit! Oh and the visit to Tilamook chees; yuuummm. Glad to see the road trip is going well! Can't wait for the next update!
