We are staying in downtown San Francisco about a block from Union Square. Our hotel is the Parc 55. It is a massive 32 floor hotel that takes up a whole city block. We got our third upgrade of our trip, and got a corner room on the 9th floor with windows overlooking downtown. We are in the middle of the shopping district and have all the flavor that comes with staying downtown in a large city such as homeless and hookers. We had some great sushi our first night at Sushi Han. The fresh water eel was great.

The next morning we traveled on the MUNI ( mass transit ) to the Haight Ashbury district and Golden Gate park. We were less than impressed with Haight Ashbury as it was sorta seedy. I am sure it was much hipper in the 60's and 70's heyday. It did have an awesome record store named Amoeba Records. We could of spent all day here. Golden Gate park was nice, though we did witness a drug deal. We then took a very long and congested bus ride back to our hotel.
