As I found out, it is freezing cold up there and a tiny white cardigan doesnt offer much protection!
We havent been anywhere near a computer for a while so got loads to update on, will make it quick though cos internet is costing a fortune!
The Grand Canyon has been the nicest place so far for both of us. It is really spectacular, and much wider than we had imagined. Paul threatened to try to through a rock across it but we would have been there for about a thousand years I think! It was kind of weird to look at it though, like it is so big your brain cant take in what you are seeing so it doesnt seem quite real. We went for a 5 mile hike around th rim of the canyon, and met many squirrels, one who danced at Adrienne's feet - it was so cute! It was a shame we had only one night there, but better in a way as we couldnt get bored of the view then!
So we had a mammoth day of travelling after we left the Grand Canyon to get to Las Vegas the same
day. We met a guy in the Greyhound station who spent 10mins terrifying us with stories about all the crime in Vegas, but when we got there it wasnt as bad as he made out, except for the fact that where they normally sell newspapers on the street they were selling porn!
We stayed in really nice hotel on our first nights in vegas which was stuipidly cheap! I gambled a total of 25cents in the slot machines and Paul didnt gamble anything - no wins though surprise surprise! We spent our days wandering around all the hotels, I like New York New York best - it was like New York in the 20s so it was really cool. Pauls faveourite was the Bellagio for the fountains - they were absolutely amazing and I have a video of them to load if we ever get around to it! We also went to see a show called American Superstars and had our first introduction to country music - we were right by the stage trying desperately to hide when the country guy tried to get the crowd to sing along! We did get to shake elvis' hand though which was
cool!
We flewto San Francisco a couple of days ago, and Las Vegas airport is the busiest and most complicated airport I hagve ever been to - hopefully wont have to fly there again! So far we have forzen our arses off on the Golden Gate Bridge, met a family of seals, resisted spending a fortune in the shops on pier 39 and ridden the trams!
loads more to do so see you soon, Love Adrienne and Paul xxxxxxxx
