Day 6- Morro Bay

Opps. Slept in this morning. Must have been that exhaustive planning and research on the time share yesterday. So we buckled down to finalize the time share business this morning. After what seemed like an hour hold for US Air, we confirmed that flight information that Susan thought Bob wrote down incorrectly (but he didn't), then on the phone with Diamond Resorts to finalize the time share availability. We got it done, celebration time. Two weeks in Kauai Nov. 1-15, 2013.

After breakfast, we set off for Morro Bay. Morro Bay is on the coast North of San Luis Obispo. The water front has two distinctive features, a very large rock and a big power plant beside it! Both are landmarks of different typesl See picture. We hit some antique shops and got a shot of our Lincoln by the theatre playing Lincoln. Another area of Morro Bay had a few shops we stopped in but a pretty quiet place it seems.

Just north of Morrow Bay are where the sea lions habitate. We didn't go to see them this time but did when we were here before. Had lunch along the coast at a lovely spot we stopped at last time. Then back to Trader Joes and gassed up at Costco, but about 1 mile apart, not bad. Gas at Costco today was $3.75.9.

The days are becoming less precise and destination oriented with more casual destination goals. We look forward to getting back to the resort each night to enjoy sunsets and waves crashing (and a little wine of course).

We leave you with a picture from our living room looking out at the bay where I've taken pictures from the balcony. Until tomorrow.....
