Berkeley

Our vessel is a '98 Grand Cherokee 4x4. I've driven it for years, and just spent the last week tuning and replacing parts for the trip. I even bought a Swedish built cargo rack for the roof, as can be seen in yesterday's photos.

We experienced vehicle trouble just outside of San Bernardino today. Strange motor behavior and a lingering check engine light are forboding signs of trouble to come. After a minute of rattling motor, however, we were fine all the way to Berkeley.

Drove for 8 hours today, uneventful. Had a good time with brither Chris in Berkeley. In a few hours I'll wake Brad and we'll start the next leg of our Journey. No scheduled stops until Kentucky.
