Our Bird
(by Lettie) Departure Date: 9-16-08 Phoenix, Arizona USA via British Airways nonstop to London, England UK.

We enjoyed our flight to London thanks to good seat locations near the back of the plane where we could get up to move around, stand at the back, and be near the W.C. (the water closet) the Brits term for the bathroom. We each had our own video screen built into the seat in from of us. There was music, tv, video, and audio books. We were delighted.

Our flight attendant, Stephan, served us while patiently answering a hundred questions. He was quite sweet and helpful as were most of the attendants - allowing me to make laps around the cabin via their kitchen area. There were exceptions though. Terry, who appeared to be having a power surge (hotflash), kept fiddling with the air vent to get more air, but it turned out to be the emergency oxygen outlet and the attendant who finally got her attention was a little exasperated with her. Telling her we were Americans and this was our first overseas flight did not seem to help. We couldn't help but laugh which did not meet with our

attendants approval. We didn't dare laugh at the attendant who informed Becky she had pushed the service button 6 times and she only needed to do it once. We were appropriately meek until he left and we gave her a hard time. (-:

When I could stay in my seat no longer I would wander to the back, where I eventually met Catherine. She was an intuitive healer and appeared to be quite well trained. We talked about integrity and impeccability concerns related to the privilege of healing. I was impressed with her sensibilites and pleased to have met her. We did get shushed by our Natzi attendant :-) whereby we relinquished our conversation and said goodbye.

We eventually napped and woke to the dinging bell sound that I am never quite sure of what it means. This time though it was to wake up for breakfast. Looking around all you saw was briliant rays of light streaming in around the edges of the window covers making them look like they had mini coronas. Then the cabin lights came on. Suddenly we got excited as we realized we were almost there...
