Don, Darlene, Bob n me
They were on their way home to LA after watching the superbowl up in Laughlin and stopped to see our new home! We are still here, but have finally decided it's time... We will be pulling out on the 18th (a week from today) and heading for the big city of Yuma. We are going to spend some much anticipated time with Rod and Colleen and Dan and Linda and really looking forward to it. It was so nice when Rod and Colleen stopped by - a little bit of home comin to us! We've also had Uncle Don and Aunt Darlene come by. We met them up in Laughlin for the super bowl and had a blast! Anyway, we will spend a week or two there in Yuma, maybe even get some use out of the used golf clubs we got at the swap meet, then head for the Pheonix area. We are going to meet Bob's cousin Otto up there to go to some spring training games. From what Otto, Don and Darlene say, there are a lot of teams in the area (not just the mariners like I thought - duh) and the different parks have their own "local" flavors. I am not sure what all that entails, but I will clue you in when I know. We will probably
Allie and the Cat
I'm thinkin Al isn't too happy about the cat hoggin that corner.... be staying in that area for anywhere from two weeks to the full month of March depending on the RV park that we stay in and how many games we decide to go to, but then we are moving on. We'll do some exploring in the Tuscon area, maybe slide over to New Mexico and then probably start heading back up north. We want to spend some time in the Grand Canyon this year (thinking about doing the skywalk, but not completely sure that I'd live through it...). Then we'll make our way north. Slowly... We'll plant on the property in eastern wa for a while, get it comfortable for us to stay in the trailer and start the building process. We'll be spending time in the west with family and friends and over east until about October then head back south. We'll definitely be coming back here to Parker. We have really enjoyed everyone here and have had a great time. It's a beautiful area, perfect for just about everything - close to town, shopping, laundry, mountains, river and plenty of sight seeing touristy stuff that we still haven't seen yet. So, yes, we'll be back.
Oh, guess what?!?!?!
All three kids
This is Taylor, our Ryan, and Kayden. I miss all these little faces SO MUCH!!! We got MATCHING bikes. Our bikes had been sitting in the Ponderosa for so long that they were rusty, wouldn't shift right, not to mention extremely uncomfortable to ride. At any rate, we looked into getting them repaired and in condition to ride, but it would cost just about as much just to get a couple of "cruisers" (7 speeds, forward pedals, upright seating...). So, now all we need is matching t-shirts and the dork factor will be off the charts..... Bob is way more comfortable riding now so we are doing a lot more. I have lost about 10 pounds since we left and am hoping to get back down to a reasonable weight before too long. I've been walking every day with Allie at least 2 miles but more often 3-4. Tomorrow a BUNCH of women from our park here are doing a fundraiser walk out in the desert. It's only 3+ miles, but it will be fun for us all.
So that is about it for now. I've included some picture that I thought you would enjoy. Allie and Lucy laying on her little cot/bed; our grandson Ryan with his step brother & sister; our newest granddaughter,
Aly in the high chair
It's so great being able to see and hear this little cutie patootie with video conferencing. I can't wait to meet her in person! Alyson (Happy 2nd birthday to our angel grandbaby, Anthony!); and a pic of when Don and Darlene came to visit. We've been video conferencing with Aaron, Sara and Alyson for a few weeks now and I am loving it! We're hoping to get connected with Amanda and Ryan pretty soon. I miss that little face!!! So you all take care! We continue to pray for you all and can't wait to see you all again!
