It's amazing. You get 5 days in a row of rain in Washington and it's considered a "typical week". In Arizona, it's the worst storm in decades and it becomes a "state of emergency". We actually didn't get 5 days of rain here. We had one day of really bad rain and a couple of nasty days of cold, wind and some "spitting". There were tornado warnings along the Colorado river and in Pheonix. The Barrett Jackson auction had a tent fly to the middle of 101 and another couple collapse. There were flash floods all over the valley. We actually thought we might wake up with waterfrontage on the Colorado (we're in the second row back). There were definitely high winds and we lost power a few times. The rain really came down hard for quite a while - and we had no leaks! Buying a used rig kinda had us a little concerned, but it held up great! We had just installed some stablizer bars and some better wheel chocks and didn't get tossed around near as bad as we would have been without them. We finally got a Reverse Osmosis water treatment system so our tank is full of good water. The water here is truly horrid and would have destroyed our system if we didn't get something soon. At any rate, we are still cloudy and very cold. The temp outside this morning had to be below 42 degrees because the heater had to use the auxiliary furnace instead of the regular heater. That's cold! It's supposed to start warming back up this week. We may not see 70 again until next weekend or so, but we WILL see 70 again! I can't wait. I miss the tanks and shorts, laying in the sun, reading my book, playing with the dog, and happy hour with the neighbors. Well, that's all for now! Everyone take care and God Bless!

Weather!
Well, we are having one of those weird El Nino years. So all last week it was near 60 degrees, sunny, and nice. At least the dogs dried out enough to start some brushing! Oh man, Baxter LOVES to be brushed :-) He loves it so much that he makes Landis jealous so he will try to get between you and Bax and get more brushing, which is good, because he generally won't stand still and he's got the worst coat! Baxter really seems to have settled in the last couple of months. Like now he knows he lives here, and we are his people. Before that, he was more aloof. He's very serious about his job too! He's got a great work ethic! Glad you guys are having a good time! If you get back up here, you must come visit! Dana

oh, yeah!
Hi, Guys, We had plenty of rainy days in California while we were wintering there. And generally had one or two nights of freeing temps. The desert can be really cold! But, you are right. The sun will return and you will be sunning and reading and playing with the dog...and best of all having fun with "new" friends. Good luck...and take it as it comes...it's all an adventure...Makes you really appreciate the good times. Love, Joanne and Dick
