Breathtaking views from the helicopter over the Grand Canyon
I woke up to the sound of Betty ringing the breakfast bell and shouting at us to hurry and get up for breakfast. We slowly headed down to get some breakfast but it looked terrible but I was hungry enough to try it. That was until I asked for no mushroom sauce but still Betty piled it on, and my eyes weren’t wrong it was disgusting. We had a lazy morning today because for once we weren’t in a rush to leave. Eventually we packed up the trailer and headed off to one of the most famous places on Earth, the Grand Canyon. We drove straight to the airport at the Grand Canyon to go on a helicopter ride. We wanted to go on the hour long ride in and around the canyon but because it was too windy they were only doing the short half hour tour. They took our weight, we bought our tickets and waited for the helicopter to arrive. When we were called it was Dave, Lucy, Elaine and I in the same helicopter, we headed out and got a group photo taken in front of the helicopter. We jumped in and put our headphones on to

It slowly lifted off and made for the Grand Canyon, the views were incredible. I cannot describe how amazing it was flying over the Grand Canyon seeing the views from up here was something I’ll never forget. I took plenty of photos while flying in and out of the spectacular Grand Canyon. Unfortunately it was quite a quick trip but still an amazing experience, we made back for the airport and met the rest of the group who were just landing. We looked through the gift shop and walked back to the van, watching the helicopter coming and going full of people. We drove to the campsite which was located right in the middle of the National Park. On the way we stopped at the Grand Canyon National Park sign and took a group photo of us sitting around the sign. When we arrived we setup our tents and had a little chat about if we were going to get up tomorrow to watch the sunrise or not. A little later on we headed down to a lookout to watch another sunset which again had some fantastic views of the canyons below. We then went

back to the campsite and made an awesome dinner of burgers, sausages and steaks then had a few drinks. We filled our Nalgene bottles with boiling water and warmed up for a cold nights sleep.
