Return from McCarthy, AK

The return trip from McCarthy was long and slow, but thankfully uneventful. We got back on the “main” road around noon and headed toward Anchorage knowing we would stop along the way.
We visited the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park Visitor Center which is actually a ways from the park. People come to the VC and skip the park. I guess having the center on the main road gets the word out about its existence.
We stopped for the night about an hour from our destination of Wasilla, a “bedroom community” of Anchorage.
