Scratch
Scratch "IN" AlaskaWe left the Hot Springs and drove back into ALaska. The terrain steadily changes, so sdoes the weather. Coming over White Pass into Alaska, it was socked in and very wet and cold. The lakes were still full of ice and lots of snow on the mountains. Once we got out of the pass and back to the coastline, it is much warmer. How do you like the great photo of Scratch"In" Alaska? Skagway is a cruise ship town. That means when the boats are in, the town is crawling with tourists. Not really our kind of place. But, we can not catch the ferry to Haines until Friday . We are taking a cruise trip down to Juneau tomorrow. It is a Glacier Tour. They spotted 7 humpback whales a couple of days ago. Our mission is to find the best fish and chips and the coldest beer. So far, the beer at the Skagway Brewing Company is the best. And in the Fish and Chips catagory, Dolly's Fish Market in Prince Rupert.
