I made a map of my tentative route... it is linked HERE. I updated the link, hopefully it remains. I will of course be starting in Puerto Morelos, Mexico, and crossing the border to Belize through Chetumal. There's a lot to do around there -- nature trails, falls, ruins, and I'll make a trip from there into Tikal, Guatemala. This is what I'm most looking forward too! Then I will head back into bz and go south to Punta Gorda or Placencia. From there, the route is not for sure... if things work out as I hope they will, I'll take a ferry from ... read more

Mexico was one of the best vacations ive ever had! It was two weeks of pure relaxation and sun. Karolina and I would wake up around 700am, grab a starbucks cold frap from the store and lay out on the pool chairs and take a little nap. Every now and then wed take a dip in the pool or go for a stroll on the beach, but other then that we didnt move much haha. We could even have our food and drinks delievered to our beach chair!! We got SO nicely tanned its insane!! We didnt want to leave!! Some of the highlights of the trip would be: - Playing cards at night with Karolina while we ate our noodles from Walmart - Taking dance lessons and going for bikerides with "the boys" - Watching ... read more

Look to the bottom of the post for them. There’s so much I’m leaving out… But anyway, we first came to Akumal in June of 2004 to volunteer at an ecological center with nesting sea turtles. From there I first saw Tulum, to the south. Later on, in the fall of 2004, we visited his parents in Calkini, Campeche. From there we visited a lot of Mayan ruins… Uxmal, Edzna, the Puuc route: Labna, Sayil, Kabah. We visited the Grutas de Oxktintok and Calketoc. Also another cave and cenote called (if I remember correctly) Xtacumbilxuna’an.. All in Campeche! From Calkini we ... read more
