Finally in Cancun after a very long day travel - flight delayed for repairs for 2 1/2 hours. Got in after dark and am exhausted so haven´t seen anything - talked with several intweresting people on bus from airport and all seem friendly. Will explore tomorrow. Seem far away from the culture and intellect of DC.

getting around in Cancun
I've been living iin the CUN for 15 years, and am partner in an art gallery in Plaza La Isla. Stop by if you have any questions for how to get around. There IS culture and initellect here....it only might take more than a week to find it all....in the Centro you should hit El Pabilo, a small coffe shop/gallery in the Xbalamque hotel.
