We are fine...missed the earthquake completely!

Hello Everyone,

We left Oaxaca about two hours before the earthquake struck...we were in a small bus/van in the Sierra Sur, on winding roads with lots of landslide areas. No one on the bus knew about the earthquake....we found out when we got on our computers tonight! We're glad we weren't still in Oaxaca, since there have been numerous aftershocks...The quake was felt here too...

I was a primary teacher in a K-12 alternative school. In 2006, I took a leave for four months, travelling through Central America. I visited schools and studied Spanish along with being a tourist. My class followed my travels through this blog.
