good lord.
downi in mexico, and its been a strange couple days. well, not really strange. just different.
yesterday we drove to brownsville TX and hung out there. nice little town on the border. we were worried about how to get all of our stuff in order like our car permit and toursit cards, but tthe guy at the brownsville tourist center straigtened us out good. so we drove across this morning into matamoros. we took out some pesos and started looking for the highway. then a guy from the mexican tourism board offered to jump in our car and show us, which was good because it was complicated. the only drag was he wanted 400 pesos for it. ($40) but we begrudgingly paid. the roads were a little wild at first but the main high way was super easy. monterrey is the 3rd biggest city in mexico, but it was till easy enough to manuver through. it has been kind of complicated, our spanish being as poor as it is, but most people have been unbelieveably friendly. our hotel owners are great, and we just ate at this place where the waiter treated us like we were his best friends. we offered to tip 60 pesos, but he refused and said lets make it 50.
anyway. its all very overwhelming and i need to expel some urine. ¿donde est el banjo por favour?
we´re heading south in a couple days. not sure where. our hostel owners said they would show us all we need.
i´ll try and keep you posted.
cheers.

be aware. or beware. i can never remember.
ya, generally, anytime anyone offers to help you with something that seems really nice, they're expecting to get paid, so agree on a price beforehand. and your spanish is awesome
