Hello All,

Were settled in a nice hotel in Chihuahua, named after the dog or vica versa.

We've had a long couple of days. We brought our bikes into Edge Kawasaki yesterday for a tune up and and service. We were taken care of very well by George the "Flying Taco". "The Flying Taco" gave us some great complimentry shirts and swag, as well as some very good deals. Thanks Edge Kawasaki in El Paso, a good experience all around.

We then lightly planned our route for the morning, not without a final stop at Wal Mart of course to get some last minute items.

We made our way towards the border and were funnelled into a "soft" border crossing somewhat unprepared. There were no border gaurds, just a bunch of soldiers sitting around waving people through to Juvarez. No passport checks or anything. After waiting at the tourist office to open across the border and befriending a couple of Policia, we made our way to find insurance. That led to a couple of wrong turns, and before we knew it our bikes were being frisked by another military check point on a side street.

have been a problem. We have one free one from the tourist office of Mexico, and thats it.

We were tipped off that the actual entrance into Mexico was about 45 km down the road. We made it to the crossing and thought we'd just cruise right in. No luck, 2 hrs later we were on our way again. 2 more military checkpoints some great riding we rolled into Chihuahua.

We haven't seen one motorcycle down here yet, let alone 3 guys in black ballistic gear roaring down the highway. We get waves from farmers in fields, cars, construction workers and even the odd soldier.

Today we should make some high clicks.

Mexico city
Just a reminder..Mexico city has many many regulations for which day you can drive for the #s on your plates. Don't get lured into 'It would be cool to just see it' There are big fines and they inforce for torists too. It is so exciting to be able to stalk you ans see where you are!

Heh, we've been there!
I see this morning you are travelling through San Luis Potosi. I don't remember if you met our exchange student Gerardo, but he is from San Luis. A few years after he left we went there for a 2 day stay with his family. Great place. We have been following your progress and enjoying your comments and photos. We wish you safe travel and lots of wonderful memories. xoxo
