Walmart
If they don't have it at Walmart, we don't need it! Today saw us rise bright eyed and rested in the town of Cortez , Colorado. We left the motel at 6:30am and decided to blast off right away which served us well. We hit the New Mexico border just as the sun was rising and cruised right into the Navajo reservation. The view was incredible, the crowning jewel being ship's rock, a Massive pillar of stone.
Quick fuel ups for us today and not much picture time at all. Blane was courageous enough to film while riding so have some "on the fly footage". At our second stop we met a couple dudes from Vernon B.C. who were on enduro bikes as well; only they were cruising off rode down the continental divide! Sounds like a tough trip but I am sure the memories will pay dividends in the future. Good luck to them.
We put some serious miles on after that and the bikes were screaming down the rode at a good 130 - 140k's an hour. That fast forwarded us to Albuquerque , New Mexico which we bypassed ( 19 exits in total). Once again great traffic. The highest we rode was 7380 feet above sea and then it was all down hill from there. Almost entering El Paso was a giant cow feed lot that seemed to last forever. These weren't the fresh farm whole grain variety you can be sure! An easy cruise into El Paso and here I write you after we escaped the madness of rush hour.
Bye for now...........Brad
Friday Morning update: We will be staying in El Paso one more day to get a couple of supplies and have the bikes looked at by Edge Kawasaki

cool
Too cool! The flat land stuff really brought back memories of my ride with Bob and Ed in Alberta ......three bikes rolling....nothing quite like it, eh? We were wondering if you were going to go due south from El Paso or go southeast and enter Mexico farther down. ...and then there's the edge of the storm to consider.....sure wish we were there. Keep up the good work. P and W
