We headed down south to see Big Muddy Badlands, the drive was really enjoyable! We had the beautiful Big Saskatchewan sky to look at and the we had the back roads all to ourselves. It was really beautiful in it’s simple way, endless fields and endless sky. Along the way we say all sorts of cute little buggers along the side of the road. Nigel thought that they we’re Prairie Dogs, he was super excited about it. In the small town where the tours left from, we stopped to enquire, but they would have cost us $100 for a tour guide, so we passed on it. We did pick up a cool book with all sort of stories about outlaws and the history of the area. The people we’re very nice and suggested us to goto an old General store in Big Beaver (population 23!!!) along the way to Castle Butte. So we did. When we got to the little town it looked pretty much dead but we drove once around it. The second time in front of the small general store a woman waved us down to come in. Aparently, Nigel was a goof and left his debit card back

Castle Butte at the tourist info (15 min. away). The people were sooo nice that they had already sent someone to catch up with us with my debit card. Can you believe it!? That wouldn’t happen in Toronto lol. Everyone was so nice and friendly to us.
From there we headed back to Castle Butte in the badlands. From the drive up we could start to see a difference in the area, we even some white mud. From a distance the castle butte didn’t look like much, but when we got up to it, it was HUGE and really different from anything we had seen in our life. We took few pics on the way up and we saw that some people were climbing on it. We talked to a really nice woman and she told us that we could go into a cave too. We went in the cave, it was pretty cramped, cold and dark. It was cool because it was our first time in a cave. The climb up the rock wasn’t bad, and the view at the top was AMAZING, but the wind was super strong - we thought we would blow off!!!
