Ann.
Hi there,
as promised, the rest of my blog...
So, here I am again in the same tea house, back in Tadoussac, the same as last week ;-)
Yesterday and the day before we were in the Saguenay area and it was there where we saw for the first time some wild animals. Finally!! There was a wood pecker, a porcupine, a squirrel. Although I have seen some wild animals in the zoo of St-Felicien, it's definitely not the same. Now it was really a challenge to take a clear picture of a wild animal.
After a nice walk we saw Marie of Saguenay, a white statue looking down on the river of Saguenay. Really beautiful, 8m high, it's classified as one of the big statues in the world like the statue of Liberty, ...
We have been driving around 1000km since Monday. It's nice to see how fast you move when you're in a car.
Today we took the south shore towards
Tadoussac and tonight we're going to take the ferry from les escoumins towards trois-pistoles. We want to make it to Rimouski tonight. Once we're there we plan to visit parc du bic.
Last night we stayed in a hippie like youth hostel. Somewhere on a hill, no cars allowed so we had to park the car downhill somewhere. Really nice building, they lit the bonfire and we had a nice chat with the people who stayed there as well. This morning we packed our stuff and took off. On the road we saw a beautiful view of trees changing into different colours so we stopped and had breakfast on a little bridge. No wind, hardly any cars, peace and quiet, just the way we like it.
Today will be an expensive day, we're going to take the zodiac to see the whales and tonight we're taking the ferry.
That's all for now,
take care,
Ann.
