This morning we got up and headed to Longueuil Kia (Longueuil is about an 18 min drive from Montreal)and met the awesome and friendly staff including Service Manager Sebastian and General Manager Andre Nolin. They gave us a tour of their new building which is about 4 months old. They moved into a gorgeous facility that cost around 6 million dollars to build and has a lower and top floor showroom! The Kia cars get a little ride on the elevator to the top floor! They also have a gorgeous glass staircase! And get this…be jealous employees wherever you are…they have a rooftop terrace where you can sit and have your lunch while you look at the beautiful Montreal landscape which includes the Olympic Stadium that was built for the 1976 Summer Olympics. The kind folks at Longueuil Kia also offered to wash my car. I think they could tell that all the bug juice on the car needed to be power sprayed off! LOL they did a great job! They also did a great job collecting donations for the local food bank!! It’s unbelievable that in such a wealthy country like Canada that there are so many people still going
hungry. The use of food banks has gone up dramatically in the last few years. I had read on a food bank site a really great quote that I want to share“Hunger doesn’t take a summer vacation.” After we said goodbye to the great employees at Longueil Kia we headed for Albi Le Geant Kia which is in Mascouche, Quebec – about 30 min from Longueil. where we met Charles Leroux – Directeur des ventes Vehicules neufs (translation – New Car Sales Manager). I was impressed how young he looked to be a manager – very cool accomplishment. The dealership is in Mascouche, Quebec – about 30 min from Longueuil. They had a lot of donations which was fabulous! It’s great to see people donating everything from macaroni, peanut butter to toothepaste and other personal care items. We took some photos behind their cool customer service desk and headed on our way.
We then started our drive to Ottawa – our country’s capital! In my Kia Soul we have our Ipods hooked up into the media ports which is so convenient. It frees up the 2 plug ins to charge our phones or whatever! At night we turn on the
mood light speakers which are these cool lights that change color around the speakers in the front door! Sooo cool! I love my Kia! Leith who is taking the pictures bought a Kia after he came to the dealership to cover the newspaper story on me winning my car. He got himself a Forte. Jenn has been eyeing up Souls at every dealership…I have a feeling she’s going to end up getting one in Titanium which is really a popular color over all for Kia I am told. So we get to Ottawa around 7:30pm, we checked into our hotel which was right by the ByWard Market! We had an AMAZING view of the Parliament Building in the distance!! That night I met up with some old friends Hedyeh and her husband Dimitris for dinner. She’s a surgeon so was on call and her husband is a dentist. The last time I was in Ottawa was a few years ago when the Senators were in the playoffs. I was MCing their wedding at the beautiful Fairmont hotel and had to give hockey updates for all the guys during the reception. The Senators ended up winning and the streets were filled
with revellers. It also just so happened that I was wearing a red dress to the wedding haha.
