Skyline de Montreal
Not quite New YorkTim: Fully rested, washed and recovered from the beer last night we set out to discover some of what Montreal has to offer. Montreal has a lovely old town which could put you in the middle of a small quaint French town, that was worth the walk.
Coming out from the old town we mooched on down to the river side to have a look around. Nice place but alot of construction work is taking place at the moment and a big event is being set up in the port. This might mean that there will be some yaughties in town for me to go and 'rah' with down in the port. You never know I might meet a rich young lady with a boat that would keep me in the matter that I would like to be accustomed to. Then I might give Tom a job as a deck hand 😊
Down in the port there is the Centre des Sciences de Montreal. We took a peek in here, about 12quid for us both to have a look around here. We flew planes, Tom was so good (beat everyone in the room in the comp) that he is
now a member of the Canadian Air Force....or so they suggested. There was a whole bunch of stuff to do and look at so we did it and looked at it, I got put inside a bubble! You know those annoying things you get when you are a kid to blow bubbles? Well i got placed inside a giant version of that. Did not cure the ginger hair but was worth a try.
Not sure what we are upto this evening, see what comes up in the hostel, there maybe another social to enjoy. I have uploaded some pics of Montreal for you to see and of course there will be post cards winging to you in the next few days. Did you get our Toronto ones? Someone let us know and please don't assume that someone will, as if you all do that then know one will let us know. 😊
