Day 16 Currently sitting on the Tobermory Ferry which will eventually take us from the Bruce Peninsula to a Northern Island which we’ll then take a bridge to send us on our way to Sault St. Marie, Ont. Feels good to say that ‘out loud’, so I can keep track of our next step. Recently said some goodbyes to the quickest/strongest connections I’ve ever made with people on the previous farm in Wiarton. I’ve briefly discussed our wicked chats with Grant, but would like a take a second to document the experiences with Emily and Anna-Jean. Anna-Jean is, to me, the motherly figure of this farm on Zion Church Road in Wiarton. She’s kind, wise, and possesses strong healing power through her practice of Reiki. My apologies. I cringe at the thought of recapping these last 13 days. The term paradigm shift has come up often in my mind, and I'm starting to realize the only real truth regarding this trip. Why would you ever want to live out of bags in the back of a tercel for 3 months. How the hell can you be pulled over by the nicest cop in the OPP because our bags are covering the rear view? Could you put your life in only your own hands while climbing massive ledges left there from pre-historic oceans in Northern Ontario? Is it worth it to wake up to the sun beaming down, and after downing a delicious organic breakfast go get your hands dirty in the garden while the birds sing?
