To the NW is the Air Canada Centre (ACC) home of the Toronto Raptors Basketball team and hosts concerts like Cher, Rolling Stones, Prince etc, ice hockey (Maple Laafs), and other events that the Skydome to the west is too big for. The facade of the building is a historical art deco old post office that was kept but everything else is brand new. Look at the wonderful releifs carved in the stone of various scenes. If you are lucky enough to watch an event from one of the corporate boxes at the top you get all you can eat and drink served by dedicated wait staff. To the north east and south east, south west are parking lots but new condos are going up there. Above is the Gardiner expressway
there is talk of putting it underground like the "Big Build" in Boston. It is felt it seperates the waterfront from the rest of downtown. It goes parallel over Lakeshore some of it further to the east has already been torn down.
