G'Day mates:
We headed out of Hunter Valley and Don and Hilary dropped us off at the train station along the way so we could head to Sydney - after three hours we were in Sydney station. Our first evening we walked around an area called 'The Rocks'. This was also our first look at the Opera House and the Sydney Harbour bridge. Sydney Harbour is as amazing as we thought and this is where we enjoyed a wonderful dinner with a view of both the Opera House and the bridge - it doesn't get much better than this.
We started out the next morning for the Blue Mountains a 2-hour train ride west of Sydney, these mountains get their name from the blue haze that you see in the distance above them. It was a beautiful sunny day so the blue hue was very visable, so we hiked the Great Round Walk. It started with a skyway trip (glass floor) to Echo Point Lookout, followed by 900 stairs down the Giant Stairway, behind the Three Sisters Mountain Peaks, followed by the 2.5 km walk to the bottom of the Scenic Railway, where at this point we ascended back up to

the Scenic World Top Station on the steepest railway in the world. (Fred's imput: Sherry at this point stated "I'm not liking this!") The Giant Stairway did not have any 2 identical steps. The steps had been carved into the rocks and we had to be extremely careful navigating as it was the longest and steepest stairway I have ever encountered.
