Hey guys!
Hope all is well wityh you all. I'm in a kinda daze at the moment really, only been doin this 3 weeks an it feels like forvere as I'm so far away from my old life an doin so many different (and /or stupid)things than i would;'ve before. before i go on ya should know this will be full of typos as i have no time l;eft on the logon an my money'll prob run out before i can check it an hey, hostel keybopards... opractically gotta sit on the feckin spacebar for it to work!
Strated the moose tour and it is a totally amazingly fab route! Met hunners a folk, all mental maddies, of course, so getting on wi most lkike a house on fire! I lied bout location, btw, was in whistler y'day, back in biug V but didn't wanna seem dull. Whistler wnated 10 dollars an hour for t'internet, aye rightie!So, yeah, been to Van Island, over to Tofino - amazing mountains, wonderful hpostel, but a total bawbag on the desk who refered to me as "you in the skirt", needless to say he did this once and will not be doing it again...or he will be losing one of his skelly eyes, huh! Anyhoo, yeah, met Hans (Dutch) Ben, Vik and Naomi (engliusdh) and Junko (japanese) on the bus an loads others arojnd and about. They're all a total laugh, get on well well with Hans, he's a total crazy Dutch, woohoo!
So, aye, Tofino is lovely total beach bum heaven: went to beach for firtes both nights we were ther and i have a rather large cut on my left big toe as i fell like a right tolie into Ben and landed on somehting super duper sharp! Ouch! Still, keepin it clean an trying to get it to heal right, sure it'll be all goods, trust me to do that 3 days into a 3 week mainly walkin-based gig! Argh!
Oh yeah, an can't keep it secret any longer, sorry mum!, got my first tattoo of the trip, yey! And Ow ow ow! in fact anohter Ow, too... Got it in Toronto but was gonna surprise mum, just cannae keep it in any longer tho...Flowers on the right foot, which is so much fun trying to keep dry as i keep my other now very injured foot clean, showers are well amusin... caved today actually and went in the lake at Whistler, y'all know my thing bout the watter an all...
Ahead of myself again, so yeah after Tofino went to Victoria, an I'm sorry, forget livin in big V, little V is so where it's at! Its all mountains, and city stuff like bars ( went to one with bras on the ceiling an peanuts on the floor, i shit you not...) and clubs an shops and there's no hobo types, hummers a surfie types, and everyone has loadsa hair here, oooh i love it i love it i love it! Had a wander around an saw the first nations stalls, the touristy stuff an nearly got another tattoo but (don't panic ma!) I didn't as the chick was toio busy an we had to get the bus back, plus this one's a hassle to keep dry an look after right in hostels so think i'm gonna leave the tat thing for now... its still well scabby! Yuck! Altho, yeah that'll so be the swimmin, oops!
Went back to big V for a night but styued at jericho bveach, round the bay from the city. Hostel used to be an army base, hmmmm... prison block more like i think... Still, basic's the new black, so its all good with me! Vik and I were a tad unsure about our bunkmate, she had enough stuff for 3 people, truly, and er, a velvet witch's hat... came in at 4 am an we saw blood on her bed, nice! Needless to say we botyh woke up the next mornin, prayed to anything and everything that vampire crazylady hadn't sacrificed us along with a goat to the god of travel scariness and headed to the next bit: Whistler. I swear to god, I never thought I'd see anything that'd impress me as much as Scotland, but, er, i was well wrong! (An to all the scot's in the room, yeah yeah, its beautiful an all, but honestly, words cannot actually do this place justice...) 2, as in not just 1, GIANT mountains, a stunning lake to sit at (and burn if you are little miss moron, i.e. me and think you don't need sunblock when its windy and, er, not that warm, duh! Don't actually think my bum's ever been this hot, well, in a heat way, hee hee!), lovely shopping streets, fab walks(ahem, limps...), and yet more surfer snowboardery skatey type people, heaven!
Headed back here to big V again tonight where we had booked into Jericho but our driver got us into Samesun, then this crazy chick tried to kick us out claimin we hadn't reserved an others had arrived an now had no beds so we had to leave, aye hen! Anyhoo, so I clearly and in no way threateningly explained that i had paid for a service along with my friends and we were goin no place an she so totally stormed off in a huff! Nice customer service! I mean, come on - claiming its not her problem if we had nowhere to go, never a good way to start a chat with me about accommodation, really, silly lass!
So, yeah, bit scorched, totally shattered an dyin to get more so. All's wonderful, the sun is shining, actually its the moon, but its shining, the tunes over here are ace, got some well good top tips for newbies and i totally heard a Dave Grohl cover of Tiny Dancer - argh! Fave song by fave guy! Heaven! Thank god for Ozzies wi good taste an IiPods!Actually, she's well more than that... totally like me on ly Aussie, 28, wandering and wondering what to do with her life - kindred spririts, love it!
Gotta go, hear a teeny top buynk in a toasty room a callin my name, off to Shuswap Lake 2moro, apparently its prettier than Whistler, hmmm, we'll see. May have to stand on the bus, mind, me bum's well toasty, oocher!
