The North and South Thompson rivers join at Kamloops and winds its way through the mountains to join the Fraser, passing through Ashcroft on the way.

Buried in the middle of the mountains not too far from Kamloops and Ashcroft is a giant mine with its adjoining tailing ponds. Not the prettiest sight.

We were a little surprised to see cattle at home on the range with no fences. Luckily they are more interested in munching than standing on the road.

Typical of the housing we saw up at Sun Peaks. Even though we weren't skiing, it was still a beautiful site. Great food too.

Too bad it wasn't a bright sunny day. But everyone who made the trip enjoyed themselves even though in mid October there wasn't that much snow.

We loved the signs in China but this one struck us as odd. Until we saw the sign on the other half of the double doors: "Please use other door".
