The sun has it's hat on and Kate is in her element, see photos of hotel and from our room!!

From Banff, we pottered along a side route, again recommended by Sally. Lots of photo stops for the views and wildlife. Halfway, at Johnson's creek, we did a 60 mins walk to see a waterfall. Bumped into someone from Inkberrow on the path, it's a small world. Lake Louise is very high and we were taken a aback by the snow on the frozen lake. We took the option of a hot chocolate each to consider our options!! Fortified, we walked for 90 minutes through snow and slush, worth it for the views.

If another Canadian tells me it's cold for mid May, I'll throttle him or her!!

Driving around later, we saw the longest freight train, in my less than humble opinion, ever. It was a mile long, at least. Powered by 4 diesel locos, 3 at the front and one in the middle!!
