welcome to banff y'all

...and so the time has come to leave this beautiful part of the world and start the real adventure!!
Banff has been a place I've been lucky enough to call 'home' for 5 months now, and whilst i'm ready for some culture and a change, i'm really sad to leave this place...
Banff has been a place for fitness, good times, amazing scenery and the worst summer in 60 years; like really, they announced it on the news the other day! so, as one of the few aussies who comes to canada for summer, i've experienced the worst one in 60 years, just my luck hey!!
We can look back at the past 5 months with a huge smile on our face...because we've made some awesome friends, rekindled friendships and made memories we'll never forget....from the very memorable canada day, the many free bus rides and tours (thanks to brewster) too many beers, far too many $2.75 vodkas, and one too many trash cans; terrible music courtesy of the evil dj, free passes into many of the local clubs without permission, steak nights at the elk and sunday nights at the gap, we'll be forever in your debt. forever be remembered, as will otter street (oh otter street basment how i'll miss you!) for its 'pimpin' rooms! A big shout out to the dirty snatch, ahoara's, hump and slap, the gap, the brew and hoodoos, to evelyn's for the free hot chocolates, to the gondola for treating pip so well and to the people of banff for accepting us and our bikes; god bless the bikes.

Banff is one of those places that you'll never forget, one that will always be remembered for the breathtaking views; those mountains that change every day, for the hikes that take your breath away, literally, and for the ever changing seasons. If you get the chance, you must come here, if not to banff, then to the rocky's, because they are like nothing else you've ever seen...this is canada at its greatest, and i'll be back for sure!
