oh my gosh Mum is not going to like those comments about her.....but it did give us a laugh-lots of laughter especially about the shampoo acting as moisturiser- didn't she label the bottles?!
Gday Hi Hannah, we haven't met yet, but I'm a friend of your mums :)
Thank you soooo much for the very entertaining and informative blog of your travels with mum and dad.
Its FANTASTIC and a joy to read.WELL DONE!

Loved it! Hannah the last part of the blog I loved.... definatley classic Cynthia moments right there, and there were definately tears running down my cheeks, of laughter, and possibly a bit of jealousy! Love you mum
thanks for the great post! Another great post! Thanks! I'm just starting to research a trip to Ecuador and what a delight to read of your fantastic travels. As I sit here eating my real brown grainy dense German bread I could SO relate!
Happy travels,
Claire
where was this taken? Hey there,
Ill be visiting puerto viejo in May and I am wondering which beach this picture was taken at..I am really into photography and think I could have some fun with this awesome shot..really appreciate your answer! Thanks, -ashley
you make me laugh =) oh hannah my dear. your post made me laugh and then nearly weep for your frustrations. however, i am sure you look amazing still and that your stunning beauty is still lighting up each city you encounter.
go on a post a picture of your "hack job" so that everyone can ooh and ahh and tell you that we all still think you are beautiful (or so we can make fun of you and agree that you look hideous). mucho amor.
you rock! so i just now got around to reading this as i am still stuck in the real world (though i did just take a mini trip to NYC), but i am so happy i did. i am having a miserable day at work and just imagining your vivacious spirit on this tiny boat made me smile. you say the sea is so huge, but so is your zest for your life and your personality - i am not surprised at all that this is the trip you wound up on. i am also not surprised to see you making the best of it. for sure a great story my dear, thank you for sharing!
WOW!!! All I can say is WOW!!! My wife and I were traveling with Martin and Katja for a few weeks and the last we heard they were catching a boat to Colombia. I just read your blog and my jaw is on the floor! Such an amazing experience and I don't think my wife and I will be taking a boat to Colombia anytime soon.
Thanks for sharing this!
Jason
hannahs thoughts Nice reading Hannah, although cannot help but think how could you walk alone through some of the countryside, hope you stay safe, and just a thought ,the minute you stopped worrying about cleanliness, you got diarrhea (washing ones hands) didn't you? hope you are better and didn't get sea sick it is a horrible feeling seasickness hope you were lucky lucky. Love and Kisses Mum...xxx
the good bits I love this list, a stream of consciousness from inside your brains spilt out onto the web. Imagine if you ate fruit!!! That makes me burst into laughter. The irony, where your travels have taken you, and no fruit - but you are living and learning so much. I write these lists sometimes, but would never be brave enough to share them. Keep going Hannah!
a reply hannah is good with words.
hannah is finding hannah.
I am going to share these comments (not all... eg beer) with my grade 6 class tomorrow
hannah should eat fruit
and yes...karma DOES exist...
happy thoughts :)
I have been left wondering if the Hannah that eventually returns home will in fact eat fruit.....seems like the most budget conscious decision you could make, and you could then say South America has in fact changed your taste buds!
Central America Hannah funny funny blog! i love reading it as soon this will be me! in 47 days to be exact!
keep them coming! also i want you to still be in south america in 47 days!! so i can see you!
our rough plan is land in l.a go down into central america and then accross and up to miami! if you are there that could make my trip!
love and miss you!
i love you. girl, you are so fantastic! i wish i could be experiencing this with you. i loved the thoughts (both deep and superficial) that traveling brought to my mind. i ended up thinking all kinds of crazy things...maybe i never want to go home, maybe i never want to get legally married or have children, etc... it is awesome to find yourself in such a place where you can truly reflect on things without everyday normal life interrupting your thoughts (or influencing them for that matter). it is ALSO a wonderful feeling to just feel so joyful and happy so often. that is the thing i miss most about traveling. not that i am never happy now of course, but it was so easy to be happy while traveling. so easy to be contentedly relaxed. i am glad you are still experiencing that! miss and love you! cheers doll...xx.
interesting words I agree with a many of your comments! And stray dogs are well common in South America, the roads are dusty and bumpy. I was talking about your ocd just yesterday
