Hi everyone!!!

I now have two days left of training and I cant believe it!!! Its been an eventful 6 weeks!!!!

I had a practical resit week last sunday (first aid) and passed thank god! I have nearly completed my two weeks of service- i had a full mock today in the simulator where we had to serve real passengers (crew training in the week behind us!) with real food and drink which was fun!!! But was so nervous but looking bk i enjoyed it!!! And its made me less nervous about my first flight! Which i on tues to a place called Doha (in Qatar) only a 45 min flight and then my second is to Egypt both are turn arounds so we go there and come back!!!!

We graduate on Thursday and usually the company pays for us all to go out to the crew nightclub and we have free drink but..................The day we graduate is a dry day (like a bank holiday) so no clubs bars are open and no alcohol is to be poured anywhere!!!! Over here you need a licence to buy alcohol and there are 3 places in the whole of Dubai to buy alcohol....... o how i appreciate those corner shops back home now!!!! Dying for a bottle of Ernest Rose I tell ya!!!!!!!!

Like i said i have 2 supi flights (first flights where u have an excuse to be rubbish!!!) then will probably be on "can yous" which is like stand by but they give you 24hrs notice. The month after im on stand by so if i get pulled out i have 45mins to get ready and get my transport to the airport!!!! Eeeeeek!!!!

Still not explored much due to long hrs, no money and studying (!!!!!)........ so most photos are of college apart from the odd at a mall........... few things ive noticed over here...... most of the toddlers male and female have there heads shaved....... this to because when the hair grows back it grows back alot thicker!!!! Seems bit tight but i suppose you have to forfeit for beauty!!!!! Also the women where black long gowns either covering everything but their faces or even everything but their eyes... these are called Abayas and guys wear white ones with dish cloth type things on their head, the guys dress are called dish dashes!!!! anyway we noticed on an esculator the other day that its says (where we would have mind your children or buggies- type thing) here it says "watch your abayas" ............................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! brilliant!!! Will try and get a pic!!!!

Got 3 more exams tomorrow then thurs is dedicated for graduation where i get my wings!!! Been having Arabic speaking lessons as the airline is arabic- i dont have to use it during flights but it might help a bit- not that i can remember much but might start going to lessons with a friend

best go and revise!!!! x
