Woolly has packed his trunk; he made so much mess and left everything on the floor so we had to repack it! We have come to our last hours in Turkey (for now!). Last night started out well. Ian and I went out for a meal, we were met with chaos when we got back!

Woolly says – HOME ALONE – it’s the last night, what did they expect!!!!!! Ok have to admit I might have gone over the top, probably shouldn’t have nicked all of ian’s beer and Jo’s nuts! and as for drinking all of the wine out on the balcony!!!!! I think I got shouted at when they got back! But for some reason my memory’s a little fuzzy!

We were not impressed and needless to say Woolly is grounded. BAD MAMMOTH!!!

Woolly says – I’m so sad to be going it’s been brilliant; don’t feel too well this morning but I’m looking forward to getting into the Motorhome and heading North. While were waiting for our flight Jo and I thought we could do some comparisons and think of things we have enjoyed doing and things that weren’t so good – I think it’s to stop me running round the airport!!!!!!

It’s definitely to stop him running round the airport, let’s start with drinks

Woolly says – some big differences here, Jo put it in a table for me….

Coffees and beers!!!!

Kemer was really expensive, the meal that we had there was also the most expensive of the trip, Kizkalesi is by far the cheapest but it isn’t as touristy as the other places yet so that could be why.

Interview with Woolly; we know you really enjoyed Turkey so

Which place we visited did you enjoy most? Hmm I did like Dino Park but I think my favourite was Perge, there was so much to see and it really was awesome.

Which place visited did you least enjoy? This ones a hard one because I enjoyed pretty much everything so I suppose it would have to be the bar in Kizkalesi, strange place.

Best Meal of the trip? Flash restaurant, there toilets were mega cool, oh and the food was very good to.

Worst meal of the trip? Defeinalty the Black Horse situated just behind the Harbour in Alanya, my pizza was the pits.

Best bargain of the trip? My guidebook in Perge only 1TL absolute bargain.

Woolly says – can I interview you now Jo????

Woolly’s interview with Jo:

Which place we visited did you enjoy most? Gosh it really is hard to decide, I loved Perge as well but for the sheer beauty and serenity I would have to go for Phaselis.

Which place visited did you least enjoy? Sorry Woolly but it has to be Dino Park.

Best Meal of the trip? That’s easy EV, best food around in my book slightly higher prices at 28TL (approximately £11.30 GBP) for salmon, the food is brilliant and the ambiance is lovely, well worth going to for a treat.

Worst meal of the trip? Same as you Woolly, the Black Horse, I had a vegetable pan (casseroled vegetables), it’s probably one of the worst meals I have ever had and I couldn’t eat it, the yoghurt dip was nice though!

Best bargain of the trip? Sweatshirts, got a really good quality sweatshirt for only 10TL (approximately £4.10 GBP) mega bargain.

Woolly says – can we interview Ian now????

Woolly’s interview with Ian:

Which place visited did you most enjoy? Too many to choose from, all of them!

Which place visited did you least enjoy? Sorry Woolly I’m with Jo and have to say Dino Park as well….what a dump!!!!

Best Meal of the trip? Easy, loved Jo’s spicy chicken pasta!!!! I really enjoyed my steak at Evs’ on Valentines night, nice and peaceful without Woolly!!!!!

Worst meal of the trip? Kizkalesi, salami omelette should be outlawed.

Best bargain of the trip? Same at Jo, the sweatshirts, excellent price and quality.

Woolly says – there calling our flight……………

Jo and Ian
A retired teacher, a freelance photographer and a Woolly Mammoth are off around the world !!!!! My name is Jo and with my partner Ian, and our Mammoth we had spent over six months planning to drive round the world in a motorhome. Having rented our home, got jabs to protect us against everything, looked at hundreds of motorhomes, climbed in and out of hundreds of motorhomes, made endlesss lists and then made more lists we set off to start our journey. Seven weeks, 6000 miles and a fortune in fuel later we climbed out of the motorhome and inspected, tested and climbed in and out of every 4 ... full info

Love Woolly
We travel with a mascot and he loves exploring the world. Never good to leave them alone in the room. Enjoyed your impressions of Turkey and looking forward to future blogs.

Never leave a Mammoth on their own!
Glad your enjoying Woolly and his travels, we had a great time in Turkey and we are finding it pretty cold on our pit stop tour of the UK. Your weather looks far better than ours, although I don't know if having horses in the house is better or worse than a Mammoth!
