The past two nights, I stayed with another buddy from UBC, Mayss Naber in Abdoun!! woohoooo Crazy/lovely family and fun to see how she runs it in the summer. She has a wonderful family--mom, dad, brother, sister with amazing bob marley hair!!! omg! I love it so much! and their 14-cousin jimmy who is staying with them for the summer from lebanon and is absolutely hilariuos!!! love that lil gangstaaaa!
Failing to go to the Dead sea or petra the past few days due to waking up too late...ooops!, I finally get my butt to the Dead Sea!!! ...About 45 minutes west of Amman...It's really close to the Jordan River where apparently Jesus was baptized. Mayss told me that they have replicated the holy water he was baptized in and it was a nice touristy gift to get. When we got to Dead sea, we were sweating buckets since it's the lowest point on earth and raises about 8o C sooooo we quickly jumped into the water but that didn't help very much either since the water is so dense...haha I have seriously never tasted such salty water before and been able to float with such ease...my body was basically pushed

chili burgers, fries...gaaa i had a heart attack here!
up from below and it was soooooo unbelievably hard to even try to get my neck wet and into the water!!!! Mayss and I got salt water in our eyes when we were half way out in the sea and it burrrrrnnneddddddddddd! gaaaaaaa but it's not like we could swim really fast to get back in...since we were so buoyant, we had to bob/float back in..it was hilarious b/c we were in sooo much pain and our eyes were crying but all we could do was float on our stomachs or backs really slowly.. haha
After enough floating and killing all the bacteria off my body, we found some of the famous mineral-rich mud after stepping on it on the way out---I find it amazing how it costs so much for this stuff while you're across the world and then you come here and just slap it on for free!!! (**I should have brought jars to bring back home hehe) Feels amazingly gooey and sooooo much fun to slather on your body!--Felt like a 3 year old in a puddle of mud! You sit out in it for awhile till it becomes hard and then go back into the dead sea and wash it off...seriously!!!! My skin has never felt so good! awwwwwwwww
